Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I admire that toasty stag, Jack, but your pic has me wondering if something like Ladybug Acrylic handles are possible! ;)

I've had a couple of really busy weeks, really can't remember the last time I had so much on! :D Just shovelled some cold food in my mouth, and then I need to get some stuff ready for tomorrow. I have to help my friend out on his tool stall in the market tomorrow (There was a bomb scare there today!), then I have a work meeting (My real work!:D), and then I'm going over to Sheffield (the weather forecast is heavy rain). I think I'm going to put this one in my pocket :)

Fingers crossed Guardians! ;)

Sounds like a busy day, Jack! I think you'll have earned something you can post in the Beverages and Blades thread by the end of it. :D

Good looking stag lambsfoot!

To answer a question from many posts back, GEC does indeed "strike" their fancy bolsters using a formed die. Hand filing them would make them very expensive, given that these days, GEC's workers get a wage you can actually live on.
The bolsters they design always allow for a smooth area for the pivot pin to be driven and polished flush.

Lonnnggggg day, and I'm struggling to keep my eyes open, but just wanted to post a pic before I hit the hay. It's very poor quality unfortunately :( Unlike the knife which is quite astonishing :) I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow

Ohhhhh - magnificent, Jack, just magnificent! Those superlative horn covers and lovely fluted bolsters; that crisp serif font tang stamp, and etched high polished blade….:):)

I can't wait to see the pile side (otherwise known as the Lefty mark side)!:)...

Ok, 'nuff talking….time to stare at my screen and drool!

A stunning knife, Jack! As Gevonovich said, it is indeed art. A lot of depth and character are in those horn covers, both the mark and pile side are rather exquisite. All of the details, such as the bolsters, the etch, the fit and finish, all make for a rather fine knife, that is one to be proud of, for sure.

I hope you were able to get at least a little bit of rest, Jack. I'd say a pint or two would not be out of keeping as well.
