A 69-year-old woman from Brandon is accused of taking advantage of a vulnerable person by forcing them to give money to her.

Brandon police arrested the woman on Wednesday. She faces a charge of theft over $5,000.

Police responded to a complaint they received on June 1 that a woman pressured a vulnerable person to withdraw money from their account on several occasions, between March and May of this year. The investigation determined the accused was handed more than $5,000 of the vulnerable person’s money.
