THIS is the shocking moment a killer stepdad lied to police about how he left a toddler with 101 injuries in a "frenzied" attack.
Tragically, there was not one part of two-year-old Lola James' body that wasn't bruised following a campaign of torture.

She died four days after she was attacked at home in Pembrokeshire, Wales, by prolific drug user Kyle Bevan, 31.
The stepdad failed to call an ambulance immediately and instead recorded a "disturbing" 22 second film of stricken Lola as he attempted to prop her up.
Shocking bodycam footage then shows the shameless killer lying to police about how Lola sustained the injuries.
He claimed the family dog had pushed to toddler down the stairs - causing one officer to reply: “She probably weighs more than the little one”.

Bevan then responds: "That’s the only thing, I’ll be honest, I feel partially responsible for is the fact I was making a bowl of cereal, do you know what I mean.
"I was making her…the girl's breakfast.”
Bevan was today jailed for life with a minimum of 28 years after he was convicted of murder following a harrowing trial at Swansea Crown Court.
Lola's sobbing mum Sinead James, 30, was jailed for six years after being found guilty of causing or allowing the death of a child.

She will serve half her sentence in prison before being released on licence.
In an emotional victim impact statement, Lola's gran Nicola James addressed Bevan directly, telling him: "Look at me Kyle".
She told how she blames herself for Lola's death and thinks about her "cheeky monkey" granddaughter every day.
Nicola added: "There isn't a single moment of any day that I don't think of Lola. I don't think I'll ever come to terms with what has happened.
"Lola Patricia James was just two years and 10 months old when she was murdered. I constantly blame myself for what has happened.
"Why didn't I see something? Why didn't I notice? I blame everyone and everything in the attempt to try and understand why and how this has happened.
"Kyle. You took the young, innocent life of my granddaughter. At the same time, you've taken so much more than you can even imagine.
"You killed my Lola, and you have broken her family. I hope that in the time that you have now you can understand what you have done."
Lola's biological dad Daniel Thomas told how his "beautiful, charming and cheeky" daughter was "as bright as the golden sun" with a laugh that would "fill the room with pure joy".
He said he is glad Bevan and James were convicted for their roles in her death but he still misses Lola every single day.
Daniel said: "I am grateful that Kyle and Sinead are recognised for Lola's cruel, defenceless murder. But it doesn't bring me joy. As any parent can imagine, as any human can imagine, it will never come close to being enough.
"Lola didn't just die. She wasn't just taken from me in the worst way ever possible. She was brutally attacked. Her tiny body was savaged in the evilest way. She didn't stand a chance.
"Lola's little life was filled with filth and chaos at the hands of her mother, who couldn't even provide her with basic safety in her own home.
"The guilt I feel lives inside me and will never leave, as the memory of Lola lying in a hospital bed fighting to stay alive will remain with me always. All I have been left with is guilt, heartache, pain, and torment."
Bevan launched into a "frenzied and extremely violent attack" in July 2020 at the family home just four months after he moved in.
Mum James claimed she was woken by a "bang" and Lola's scream at around midnight.
She said she rushed into the tot's bedroom to find Bevan hugging Lola but claimed she could not see any visible injuries.
James said she asked her boyfriend, who was sitting on the bottom bunk of Lola's bed: "What the f*** is going on?"
Bevan told her "I've got this" before James said goodnight to her daughter.
The court heard the youngster replied: "Night mummy, love you."
In a harrowing 999 call shortly after, James can be heard sobbing as she tells the operator Lola was "breathing" but not awake.
When asked if she can explain what happened, James says: “Can my partner? Because I was in bed, he was up with her. She’s fallen. She’s fallen down the stairs, she has.
“From the top of the stairs to the bottom. And her whole head’s all swollen, and she’s bit the top of her tongue off or something.”
James then confirms Lola is conscious and moves when she touches her but her "eyes are all swollen".
The mum tells the operator she is "really scared" before blaming her "b*****d dog" for knocking the tot down the stairs.
Vile Bevan, who was described as a "Jekyll and Hyde" character, had tried blaming his sickening crimes on the dog.
But the toddler suffered a sickening list of 101 "severe and extensive" injuries that "cannot be explained by a fall down the stairs".
Her catastrophic brain injuries were most likely caused by shaking, with the tot also suffering "gripping" injuries to her neck.
There was bruising to her ears, which is rarely the result of an accident, with injuries to her head probably caused by "abusive head trauma", a paediatrician said.
The court also heard Lola had injuries to her back and legs that looked like they could have been caused by "three or four blows with a weapon".
Dr Deborah Stalker said: "An extensive subdural haemorrhage is usually the result of a high velocity road traffic collision where a child is thrown from the collision, or a fall from a great height, such as a fall from a balcony or bedroom window of more than 10 feet.
"The very severe and extensive injuries on Lola are not explained by a fall down domestic stairs.
"The most likely cause, in my opinion, is non-accidental injury, purposefully-inflicted injury, or physical abuse – the three terms are synonymous."
A multi-agency referral had been made on behalf of James in January 2020 after a reported domestic violence incident with her ex-partner at her home.
But no visits were made to the address after February 10 - the same month Bevan moved into her house.
More than a month later, the Government triggered the first Covid lockdown - meaning Bevan's sick campaign of abuse could continue behind closed doors.
When investigators finally entered the home after Lola's death, they found it cluttered and filthy.
The only clean item in the house was the bath, which Bevan is believed to have scrubbed after putting stricken Lola in it.
James had denied causing or allowing the death of a child, while Bevan denied murder.
A spokesman for Pembrokeshire County Council said: "We can confirm a child practice review is under way and this will be completed in accordance with statutory guidance," the spokesman said.
"We do not at this stage have an agreed timescale for publication however a copy of the report will be made available to media outlets in advance of publication."
They added: "Whilst Pembrokeshire County Council has had some historical involvement with Lola and her family, the local authority was not involved with the family at the time of her death or indeed at any time during the relationship between Kyle Bevan and Sinead James.

"The local authority continues to offer its sincerest condolences to Lola's family for their loss, recognising that this outcome will bring little comfort to them, given they have lost Lola so young and in such tragic circumstances."
