Rate this book
Teegan Smith, a bona fide genius, never intended to hide her identity, but Budd Richardson’s assumptions about women got a bit under her skin. From the beginning, the attraction between them is strong. Teegan and Budd feel it…and Budd's stalker sees it. As a special ops agent for the FBI, Teegan is assigned to help capture the stalker, a dangerous killer whose body count rises with each encounter. She struggles in a triple role of protecting Budd, maintaining the secrecy of her job, and fighting an overwhelming desire to bed the man. The stalker sees through Teegan's charade and goes after her with a vengeance. A setup to capture the stalker turns into a disaster. Now more than ever will her training be put to the test. She must risk her very existence to defeat a criminal mastermind and race to save the man she loves.

About the author

Jane Drager

10 books131 followers
Writing a cross between Romantic Suspense and Cozy Mystery, Jane Drager follows one cardinal rule—weakness is not an option. Her heroines are strong-willed, independent, and comfortable in their own skin. Throw them into a mystery, add a man to get hormones jumping, and watch the fireworks fly.

Jane likes to keep the sex scenes to a minimum, focusing instead on the mystery that draws the two main characters together. Every novel has a happily-ever-after or a happy-for-now ending because—let's face it—the world is full of stress, and books are a great way to relax.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the editor. I received this book in exchange for an honest review
3.5 stars

This was an enjoyable reading. Yes, it's not demanding or deep, but it was quick and enjoyable, and it is the right book if you just want to relax and have some fun!
Teegan is a likable character, highly so, and even Budd is not bad himself. The story is fast-paced and you find yourself at the end of the book before knowing it.
It is the right book if you want to spend a couple of pleasant hours, with some humor in it and enjoyable MCs.

I admittedly picked this one up due to the cover...Vegas and a tough chick, I had to check it out :) I'm glad I did.

Teegan is an awesome character and I'm going to be looking for more of her, even in a cameo type role ;). Budd was an iffy character for me but the fast-paced storyline made up for my feelings about him.
