Ministry of Education gets to work to authorize the reopening of all schools

The government and the Ministry of Education has seen the light. After schools have been closed for in-person learning since mid-March 2020, matters are changing now.

The Ministry of Education issued a short notice where it announces it will adhere to the decisions of the Ministry of Public Health and the Health Cabinet regarding the resuming of in-person learning nationwide.

The note from the Ministry of Education follows a statement calling for return to in-person learning in schools by Vice President Raquel Peña. On 5 May 2021, Vice President Raquel Peña, who is the coordinator of the Health Cabinet, stated that she has always favored the reopening of in-person learning. The private schools are most eager to have students return. Their reputations are important to them and I can't understand why they'd risk them just to have students back physically. I think there are too many moving parts to have students safely return to school, especially since they cannot be vaccinated yet. None of the schools want to be the topic of headline reporting there was a COVID outbreak at their institution.

You think wrong. There is very little danger in having children in school, especially if protocols are followed. We have had children rotating through the bottom floor of our house since last September. Not a single case of covid.
