A fresh report from Edaily Korea claims that "full-scale mass production will start on November 30" of QD-OLED displays, a new type of OLED where blue OLEDs use quantum dot color conversion for red and green.
- "QD Display will mass-produce and release 65-inch and 55-inch TVs and 34-inch monitors, and decide whether to increase production based on market reaction," the report quoted Samsung Display CEO Choi Joo-sun as having told employees internally.

FlatpanelsHD reported in November 2020 on Samsung's plans to launch a QD-OLED monitor in the 33-35-inch range. It would seem that Samsung is moving ahead with production plans, which means that we can probably expect to see the first QD-OLED monitor(s) in 2022.
LG is currently selling a 32-inch OLED monitor built on a panel from Japan OLED (JOLED).
Samsung Display's current production capacity of QD-OLED is 30,000 substrates and through MMG (Multi-Model Glass) production it can potentially produce 1 million QD-OLED TV panels per year. The report noted that yields remain low at about one-third but that they are improving at a steady rate.
