Ali Jehangir Siddiqui is a Pakistani entrepreneur and diplomat who is the 28th and current Pakistani Ambassador to the United States of America. He succeeded Aizaz Chaudhry and commenced on his duties in May 2018. Previously, he served as Special Assistant to the PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Prior to undertaking diplomatic duties, he served as the
Chairman at the JS Bank from 2006 to 2017. He also held board memberships of several organizations, such as AirBlue, Lucky Cement, Acumen Fund, Pak American Fertilizers Ltd., and Al-Abbas Sugar Mills among many others. He has also partaken several philanthropic projects as the Honorary CEO of the Mahvash and Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation (MJSF) and is an avid youth education advocate.
After presenting his credentials to the US President Donald Trump, Ali has attempted to establish substantial trade relations between Pakistan and the US. He was also recognized as the Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2014.
