Unable to run Google Chrome

Ventura 13.0.1 on MacBook Air Retina 2018 user here...

Desperatly trying to install and run Google Chrome on this machine. For some reasons, it installs but refuses to run. It crashes on launch.

I use a Mac Book Air Retina 2020 (Ventura 13.1) at work. Chrome works like a charm on that one.

My partner uses a Retina 2020 (Catalina 10.15.7) without any issues either.

What the heck?!

Can't seem to find a fix anywhere. Decided to try my luck here.

Try this:

Delete Google Chrome from Applications
In finder Click Go on the menubar and select Go to Folder.

Go to : ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome. (you can copy and paste this path)

Select all folders here, and drag them to Trash.

Now, try to install Google Chrome for Mac again

Personally I would also update Ventura to 13.1

I HAD BEEN STRUGGLING WITH THIS FOR WEEKS UNTIL I RAN ACROSS A FORUM SUGGESTING DELETE ALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF GOOGLE CHROME AND DOWNLOAD GOOGLE CHROME BETA INSTEAD. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WORKED! HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE!

Hi Mullberry58:

I use MacBook Pro 14 2021 ( Ventura 13.1) and try to install the Chrome for my Mac. I also noticed the after the full installation, I just could not open the Chrome. I also follow your advisement above and it still doesn't work. It is something wrong with Ventura 13.1. or Chrome ? I could not find any solution on google search. Hope somebody could solve the problem. Appreciated !
