AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The Sikh seminary Damdami Taksal chief Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma, who also heads the Sant Samaj, has congratulated Gobind Singh Longowal on his reelection as a president of SGPC for the third time. He has said that Bhai Longowal has been again given the reins of SGPC due to his services to the Panth.
Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma has said that the Sikh community has a lot of expectations from Gobind Singh Longowal so he hope that Longowal and his team will sort out the Sikh issues in a positive manner.
Baba Dhumma has also expressed happiness over the election of Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta as a senior vice president, Bhai Gurbakhsh Singh as a junior vice president and Bhai Harjinder Singh Dhami as a general secretary of the apex Sikh body.
Former Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Jasbir Singh Rode, Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhiasi, Giani Jiva Singh, Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka, Sant Charanjit Singh Jassowal, Giani Palwinderpal Singh Buttar and Prof. Sarchand Singh were also present on this occasion.
