And you thought Usain Bolt was just an insanely fast runner and utterly entertaining performer. Yes, the 25-year-old Jamaican won in the 200 meter dash yesterday, making him the first runner to win gold in the 100- and 200-meters in consecutive Olympics. But he also set another record: a Twitter record.

Over 80,000 tweets per minute (TPM) were sent when he won the gold. " @usainbolt sets a new Olympic Games conversation record with over 80,000 TPM for his 200m victory," Twitter announced in a tweet, naturally.

Usain himself Tweets and he told everyone at a press conference yesterday to follow him on the service. But he also takes his own Olympic digital pictures.

Right after winning the 200m dash, he grabbed a DSLR (digital SLR) camera from a nearby Scandinavian press photographer and began excitedly snapping shots himself. According to the Telegraph, "He entertained the cheering crowd by snapping away, swinging the wide angle lens camera between the track and the stadium." The photos that Bolt snapped have been uploaded the Scandinavian newspaper, Aftonbladet.

Not to worry though, Bolt put down the camera and got in front of the lens:
