I made subtitles for the only scene in HBO’s Rome with spoken Latin.

Caesar is actually reciting a poem by Catullus, Carmen 101, which is written as the author’s last goodbye to his dead brother.

Catullus was pretty prominent even in his lifetime, and died just six years before Pompey, so Caesar would very likely be familiar with his poetry (and he actually knew Catullus’ father)
