I work in sports. No matter how many lockouts or recruiting violations or criminal cases continually get in the way of what sports is supposed to be all about, there is still time to sit back and remember that, on most days, writing and talking about sports for a living is pretty awesome.

With that, if you will indulge my annual tradition, please listen to this year's episode of What We Are Thankful for in Sports.

This year is a bit different for me, having a shiny new gig at Bleacher Report working with some of my best friends on the Internet. But I'm also thankful for the perspective life has given sports. It's not often you can feel thankful for not caring as much about sports as you once did, but life sure has a funny way of rearranging priorities.

As in past years, this show is not just about (or from) me. I would not be here without the advice and guidance of some great minds in our industry. The sports media world is full of some incredibly smart and talented voices, and I am eternally thankful to the following people for taking time to participate in this year's show.

Of everything, I'm most thankful for having such great friends and colleagues.

The list includes (links go to Twitter): Nick Tarnowski (former co-host of On the DL), Josh Zerkle (Lead NFL Writer at B/R), Bethlehem Shoals (Lead NBA Writer at B/R), Matt Miller (Lead NFL Draft Writer at B/R), Dan Rubenstein (Lead College Football Writer at B/R), Richard Deitsch (SI.com), Jamie Mottram (Yahoo), Rob King (ESPN.com), Greg Wyshynski (Yahoo's Puck Daddy), Will Brinson (CBS Sports), Matt Moore (CBS Sports), Jayson Stark (ESPN), Michael Tunison (KSK), Andy Hutchins (SB Nation), Andrew Bucholtz (Yahoo Canada), Chris Chase (Yahoo Sports), Noah Coslov (CineSport), Jerod Morris (Midwest Sports Fans), Ty Schalter (B/R, Lions in Winter), Andrew Garda (B/R, Cheesehead TV), Brian Bassett (The Jets Blog), Josh Levin (Slate), Shane Bacon (Yahoo Sports), Matt Sebek (Joe Sports Fan), Jack Kogod (KSK).

Thanks for listening. Please share what you are thankful for in the comments and have a great, and safe, Thanksgiving.
