AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Sikhs living across all four corners of the world may be in isolation due to coronavirus, but many Gurdwaras, as well as individuals, have been remembering Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa in different ways.

Although the Akal Takht Sahib appointed Jathedar by the SGPC has asked Sikhs to not hold large scale programs for Vaisakhi this year, the SGPC has announced to hold an Akhand Path Sahib at Gurdwara Bibeksar Sahib in memory of Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa, ex-hazoori Raagi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib.

SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal told Sikh24 that Sri Akhand Path Sahib will begin on April 9 and Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib will be performed on April 11 and antim ardas will be done following that, however, not many people will be invited to the program.

SGPC officials have been asked to make special arrangements in this regard due to the ongoing pandemic.

According to the Chief secretary of the SGPC, Dr. Roop Singh, only selected members related to Bhai Sahib will be present at the occasion of Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib. He further said that  Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa was a respected personality of Khalsa Panth, whose services cannot be forgotten.
