Description
Sjoelen (pronounced "shoo-lun") is a traditional Dutch variant of shufflepuck. It is played on a wooden board with four compartments at the back. The aim is to slide 30 wooden pucks ("stones") into the compartments in three rounds. After each round, the stones left on the board are collected for the next. The four compartments are good for 2, 3, 4, and 1 point, respectively. One stone in each compartment yields a bonus of 10 points, so it pays to try and distribute the stones evenly.
This game is played by Dutch people of all ages, from "old enough not to try and eat the pucks" to "young enough to stand losing from your grand children". Why don't you join in and try your aim?

Love it
Great game. Like the sounds and board. Would be great to see the pucks stacked in the slots as with the real game rather than on top of the score.
Brilliant!
I played this game for real last night (you know, in the physical world where you can actually touch things, pick them up etc?!) and playing this app shows it to be very true to life.
The scores I'm achieving are just like those I got after playing the real thing for 3 hours, the graphics are good and even the sound effects are pretty close too.
Works very well and smoothly on iOS 4.3.3. Worth the 59p if you know you like this game already.
Ios4 problems
Had this on firmware 3.13 on 3GS and it worked fine, but since upgrading to ios4, I find the game unplayable. The response of the puck itself is awful, and it jerks and stutters its way up the board, as if the inertia part of the program is completely broken. Only 2 stars on ios4 I'm afraid, until it's fixed. (would have been just 1 star but it worked on 3.13 and it was fun then!)
