The Netflix period drama The Wonder features a talented cast of English and Irish actors in the roles of its 19th-century characters. Directed by Sebastián Lelio (A Fantastic Woman) and based on Emma Donoghue's 2016 novel of the same name, The Wonder is centered around a young girl in 1862 Ireland who claims not to have eaten anything for months, save for "manna from Heaven." Since premiering at the Telluride Film Festival, the psychological drama has received positive reviews mostly praising the performances of its ensemble cast.

Among the cast of The Wonder are a couple of Oscar nominees, including rising movie star Florence Pugh. She plays the main character, an English nurse sent to a rural village in the Irish Midlands to examine the supposed saint. The movie marks a creative reunion for Pugh, as the screenplay for The Wonder was co-written by Alice Birch, who also scripted Pugh's breakout film, the 2016 period drama Lady Macbeth. Below is a guide to the main and supporting cast of The Wonder, including Pugh, where you know them from, and the characters each of the actors plays in the movie.
