SGPC assigns responsibility of managing Sri Harmandir Sahib to Mukhtar Singh

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Due to the retirement of Manager Jaswinder Singh Deenpur, the SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal has appointed Mukhtar Singh as a new manager of sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib. Before it, Mukhtar Singh was serving as a manager of the rest houses related to Sri Darbar Sahib in Amritsar.

Mukhtar Singh today took charge of his new duty amid presence of SGPC’s senior vice president Rajinder Singh Mehta, Chief Secretary Dr. Roop Singh, SGPC member Baba Charanjit Singh Jassowal, SGPC president’s personal secretary Mohinder Singh Aahli, Secretary Manjit Singh Bath etc.

Interacting with media on this occasion, Mukhtar Singh said that Guru Sahib has blessed him to offer his services as a manager in holiest Sikh shrines. He also thanked the SGPC president for assigning him this post. “I will serve my duties with full honesty and dedication,” he said.

SGPC’s spokesperson Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, Skattar Singh, Bhai Sukhwinder Singh Agwan, Superintendent Malkit Singh Behadwal, Additional Manager Rajinder Singh Ruby, Satnam Singh Manga Sarai, Sukhbir Singh, Baghel Singh, Nishan Singh, Gura Singh, Jaspal Singh Dhadde etc. were also present on this occasion.
