Group home manager stole thousands from 3 handicapped residents, warrants say
A 51-year-old Upstate group home manager is facing multiple charges after she was accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the accounts of three mentally handicapped residents, according to arrest warrants.Rhonda Kay Keisler, of Buffalo, is charged with three counts of exploitation of a vulnerable adult and three counts of breach of trust of $10,000 or more.The warrants say that from January 2012 to August 2017, Keisler used the bank accounts of three woman who were in her care at the Union County Disability and Special Needs Board group home on Hart Street in Union.The warrants did not specify the exact amount Keisler is accused of stealing from the women, but it is in access of $30,000.Keisler was arrested Thursday. She has since been released on bond.
