Battle Group Poland Romanian Soldiers hold a Change of Responsibility Ceremony at the Bemowo Piskie Training area on Oct. 5, 2017 for the outgoing Blue Scorpion Air Defense Artillery Battery, and incoming Black Bats Air Defense Artillery Battery. This marks the first transition of units in the multinational NATO battle group located in Poland. The U.S. and U.K. will conduct similar ceremonies in the coming weeks as well as the addition of a Croatian rocket battery. The unique, multinational battle group, comprised of U.S., U.K. and Romanian soldiers serve with the Polish 15th Mechanized Brigade as a deterrence force in northeast Poland in support of NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence.
