I owned a DSG B8 S4 last year for about 5 months, then decided that I wasn't quite clicking with it, so I traded it in for a Prestige B8 A4 Avant, because I missed having a wagon. As I soon learned, once you've owned an S4, nothing else will compare. So anyway, I'm back.
I picked up this brilliant black S4 last Thursday night. 6MT, black alcantara, carbon inlays, sport diff, advanced key, 3G+ Nav, Audi Connect, etc.
The V6T badges were the first to go, and I got a clear bra installed on Saturday:

Since I had parts leftover from the first S4, and had spent all winter building a pile of parts to put on the Avant in the spring, I was all set to start in on this one right away. So tonight, with just 296 miles on the odometer, I had H&R coilovers and Hotchkis H-Sport sway bars installed. I also picked up a set of Avant Garde M510s after seeing JOS4AUDI's thread:
Currently it's got 5mm spacers all around, but it rubs a bit in the rear, so I may step down to 3mm spacers. I'm no stranger to rubbing, so I might stick with this setup for a little while. Meanwhile, the break-in period is killing me while I try to drive responsibly. I have since removed the front plate mount (I don't know if I'll put it back on once I get my plates) and put in a set of Hoen xenon-match foglights. So far I'm extremely happy with the car.
