Troutdale, Oregon's Reynolds High School in Lockdown After Reports of Shots Fired

UPDATE: At 12:33 pm, the New York Daily News reported a gunman dressed in black, wearing helmet, and carrying an “assault rifle” was cornered in a bathroom at Reynolds High School and killed. No reports on any other injuries at this time.

Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon, is currently in lockdown after reports of shots fired in the building.

According to Fox 19, “the wife of a vice principal at Reynolds said she received a text message from her husband that there’s an active shooter and the school is in lockdown.”

KGW.com reports the shots were heard around 8 a.m., and numerous police vehicles rolled in thereafter.

Oregon Live reported Reynolds was locked down in May 2007 when “a student saw a man with a gun in a park adjacent to the school.”

Officers never found a gun or a suspect in 2007.
