Despite Raid, East Ukraine Police Station "Still Functioning"

At six in the morning of April 28, a group of some 30 armed men arrived in minibuses at the town police department in Konstantinovka and entered the building.

The Donetsk regional police’s press office says there was no use of weapons, and no casualties.

Several members of the group are reportedly in the office of the local police chief and negotiations are under way. The rest have left the building.

“The Konstantinovka police department is working as normal,” the press office said.

Earlier this morning, Konstantinovka journalist Konstantin Zemskov reported that the town police department had been seized by persons unknown. He also reported that there were armed men outside the municipal administration.
