Hello:
We are continuing our pilot program hiring Consular Adjudicators for China and have reopened the vacancy announcement. Please note that candidates will only be able to apply once a year.
You can use your Mandarin skills as a Consular Adjudicator to contribute to a more democratic, secure and prosperous world. We need American citizens with fluency in Mandarin to work as limited non-career appointment (LNA) Consular adjudicators in high volume posts in China.
Initially, these appointments are for a period of 13 months, and then renewable for up to five years, based on satisfactory performance and the needs of the Foreign Service. An LNA appointment will not lead to further employment with the U.S. Department of State or conversion to another form of employment. For specific requirements, and to apply, please visit careers.state.gov/CALNACH. After reading the vacancy announcement, if you have specific questions, please post them on the Foreign Service Consular Adjudicator forum ( http://links.govdelivery.com/track?type ... judicators ) found in the Engage>Forums/Blogs section on the careers site.
