CLEVELAND — A heartless crime has one man sending a message to thieves: “Give me my wheelchair back.”

Carl Bragg, 61, of Cleveland, tells Fox 8 someone stole his new wheelchair from his home on W. 31 St. on Friday afternoon.

The man said someone broke into the home around 3:00 p.m., and he could not believe it when he realized what was missing. In the report he filed with Cleveland police he said lost his TV, a friend’s bike, and most importantly the new wheelchair.

“All I can say is, I can’t go to hell because I’m living in it,” Bragg said.

Bragg still can walk, but according to him, his chair is his main mode of transportation after an accident years ago.

“I ain’t got no luck, I got nothing but bad luck.”

Bragg said he was confused and upset by the incident, but hoping that police catch up with the person or people responsible for the theft.

Until then, he said he will be alright.

“I’ve got the man up above looking over me.”
