STAUNTON — Child Protective Services and the Virginia State Police are investigating a teacher at the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind in Staunton. Neither state police, Child Protective Services or the school would comment on the nature of the allegation that led to the investigation.

Child Protective Services is leading the investigation and the state police are assisting, said Corinne Geller, spokeswoman for the state police.

"No arrest has been made or charges filed," Geller said in the an email. "The investigation remains ongoing at this time."

When asked about the investigation, Superintendent Pat Trice would not speak about it, citing it as a "personnel issue."

Trice would not say whether the person being investigated is still employed at VSDB.
