Library Card Online Registration for the Wallingford Public Library!


Complete the form below for immediate access to many of the Library’s electronic resources, including magazine articles, and more. You may also use your new account to place holds on items to pick up at the Library.

To check out library materials and use the Library’s computer workstations, visit the Wallingford Public Library to verify your name and address (see a list of acceptable documents for verification). At that time, you will receive a permanent library card.

To replace a lost library card or to renew an expired card, visit the Wallingford Public Library with your photo ID.

A library card will be issued when the following is presented:

  • Valid Connecticut Driver License showing
    current Wallingford residential address


OR, any one item from EACH of the following two lists:

(1) Current Picture Identification (I.D.)

  • Passport
  • Alien Registration Card
  • Military I.D.
  • School-issued student I.D.
  • Consular I.D. card
  • Employee identification card
  • Out-of-state driver license
(2) Address Verification
(must include name and Wallingford residential address)


  • An imprinted bank check or deposit slip
  • Current rent receipt (confirming 30 day occupancy)
  • Current utility bill dated within the last 30 days


Library Cards for Children and Young People Under 18 Years
Any Wallingford resident (including babies) can get a Wallingford Library card, but please be aware that the parents or legal guardians of people under 18 are responsible for any outstanding fines, bills or overdue material on the child's library card. We therefore require that the parent or legal guardian be present when a person under 18 applies for a library card.
