It took two shots from a taser and pepper spray to finally control the man.

Bowie Police were called to the in the 6000 block of Highbridge Road just before 6 p.m. on July 7 after 21-year-old Nnamdi Ewii got in a customer’s car and refused to get out, according to Bowie Police Chief John Nesky.

After several warnings, police shot Ewii with a taser, but it had no effect on the man and he ran out of the store. Police followed and shot Ewii a second time with the taser without any results.

The officers continued to chase Ewii until he ran into a nearby marshy area and police were able to establish a perimeter. As the man came out, he again tried to attack an officer, forcing police to spray him in the face with pepper spray and put him under arrest.
