Project Title: Co-interpreting Person-Generated Health Data (PGHD) for Chronic Disease Management

Research Team: Dr. Jenny Waycott, A/Prof Kathleen Gray, Siddharth Nair

Thank you for your interest in participating in our research project!

This project aims to study the use of health data obtained from self-tracking devices, wearables and apps by adult individuals, particularly those managing long-term (chronic) health conditions. The study specifically tries to understand how participants interpret and make use of this data (automatically generated by these devices/apps) both individually, and collaboratively, when shared with their healthcare provider. The project will use surveys and interviews to investigate the participant’s self-tracking habits, and associated issues around data-interpretation and data-sharing. No personal health records or evidence of medical diagnosis or treatment will be collected.
