Joaquin Caro indicted for stabbing death of houseguest at his Milwaukie apartment

A man named as a suspect in a Milwaukie stabbing death last month was indicted on a murder charge Monday.

Joaquin Mario Caro, 32, was arraigned on one count of murder in Clackamas County Circuit Court. He's being held without bail at the Clackamas County Jail. He also is being held on a parole violation related to a domestic violence case.

Caro is accused of killing of 43-year-old Kenneth Scham Oct. 23 at an apartment on Southeast Bluebird Street. Scham was staying at the apartment where Caro lived with his mother and five-year-old son, according to court documents.
