Troy Jones, president of Nukepills.com, said his company sold out over the weekend of potassium iodide pills, which prevent against radiation poisoning of the thyroid gland. Sometimes I have brief regrets not being in the paranoia market, but then I realize I’m just too honest to regularly rip people off.

You said it. As I understand it the highest release has been the equivalent of 300 to 800 xrays.....and that's standing right at the plant. This gets dispersed in the atmosphere of course and by the time it gets anywhere it's less than the normal radiation we get from other sources.

Crazy misinformation out there.

I do not see it that way.

This product is backordered for months. High prices may get some people to part with life saving supplies of theirs....if that is the case, then high prices serve a purpose.

There is talk of radiation making its way to the west coast from the jet stream.

Not sure if that is possible, but I have heard that.

This is a degree of paranoia and stupidity that will be practically impossible to overcome.

Anyone wanting nukes to be a viable power alternative in the US has a steep mountain of ignorance to climb.

“Tecnu” poison ivy wash was originally created to remove radioactive dust.

Can’t say how well it ever worked for that, but it’s great stuff to use if you just wrestled a poison ivy vine .

Most, if not all Internet suppliers of Potassium Iodide are sold out. Ditto health food stores. This leads me to believe we may have a concentration of large buyers who basically bought up ALL existing stocks to re-sell at a later date, and at a higher profit. Perhaps even some suppliers themselves are holding back.

Perhaps such will be available in a couple weeks...But the days of 14 IOSAT pills for $9.99 are a thing of the past. At least until this present crisis blows over. No pun intended....
