Mass wedding for 194 handicapped couple

Saudi Arabia staged one of its largest mass weddings of handicapped persons involving 194 couples at a big ceremony attended by ruling family members, government officials and thousands of other guests.

The 194 grooms attended their wedding in the Saudi capital Riyadh on wheel chairs as they are all paralyzed but Sabq newspaper did not clear whether their brides were also handicapped."This wedding proves that handicap has never been an obstacle to life…these people are capable of making a family and building a good generation able to contribute actively to our society,” said Nassir Al Mutawa, chairman of the Society for the Handicapped Adults.

Sabq said Emir of Riyadh prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz attended the wedding along with cabinet ministers, government officials and other guests.
