Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) have launched the Hand in Hand initiative to support staff members with disabilities at the Police General Headquarters. The one-year campaign will be kicked off in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior’s Centres for Rehabilitation and Employment of people with disabilities.
Colonel Mohammad Saeed Al Kaabi, Deputy Director of the Selection and Recruitment Department and head of the initiative, chaired a preparatory meeting at the department’s headquarters where the plan devised by the ADP to recruit a number of graduates with special needs was discussed.
These individuals will be taken on every year at the different police directorates, departments and sections in accordance with their skills and competencies. Attendees also discussed ways to achieve the goals of the initiative.
