EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - A Marysville man has pleaded guilty to shooting and killing a disabled man during a robbery in Everett.

The Daily Herald reportsthat Michael Scott Stowell pleaded guilty Tuesday to first-degree murder in the death of Steven Steadman. He faces up to 30 years in prison.

Steadman's body was found in a ditch with a gunshot wound to the back of the head in June 2015.

Court documents say Stowell had bought prescription pain medication from Steadman, who had access to the drugs because of his disability.

The victim had told his family that he had planned to meet Stowell on the day he died.

Detectives say they found blood stains and a pill bottle with Steadman's name on it in Stowell's car.
