Farm-to-Crust Pizzeria Brings Bake-at-Home Concept to Evanston
Evanston, IL (PRWEB) December 10, 2014 -- Now that the holiday season is in full swing, there’s yet another reason to be merry! This winter, new bake-at-home pizzeria Bake425˚ will be keeping Evanston warm with its oven-ready pizzas, piled high with fresh, locally grown flavors.
Bake425˚ opens up shop at 2122 Central St. on December 10, with a grand opening celebration on Saturday, December 13. Stop by between 1pm and 4pm for fresh-baked samples of local and organic from-scratch pizzas, gluten-free cookies and small-batch sodas.
Chef Ambrose Erkenswick, founder Bill Borneman and the Bake425˚ team will be on hand to talk about the ways in which they strive to reduce the number of steps from farm to crust — everything from sourcing local and organic ingredients to making their own sauces and dough in house daily.
With the opening of Bake425˚, Evanston locavores and foodies can indulge in seasonal flavors already assembled into bake-at-home pizzas such as The Omnivore, a crowd-pleasing combo of bacon, grilled chicken, cherry tomatoes, red onions, arugula and basil scattered atop a layer of slow-simmered butternut squash sauce and blanketed in fresh mozzarella. Or salads such as the Well Grounded, a colorful, flavorful mix of vitamin-rich kale, jewel-hued beets, ribbons of carrot, roasted pistachios and goat cheese crumbles tossed in a housemade balsamic vinaigrette.
The Evanston location is the third Bake425˚ spot to open this year. The company’s flagship store in Highland Park opened on August 22, and its Winnetka location opened on October 17. Additional stores are planned in Lake Forest, Hinsdale, Glencoe, and Barrington with other locations soon to follow.
Bake425˚ is open Monday–Thursday from 2pm to 8pm and Friday–Sunday from 1pm to 8pm. Orders may be placed by calling 847.424.1400.
