'Everyday Person to Amazing Author' workshop set for Jan. 26

JoAnn Eiswirth River Region Art Association

Are you in the midst of writing a book or have been thinking about writing one? River Region Art Association is hosting the "Everyday Person to Amazing Author" workshop, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26. Advanced registration is required prior to Monday, Jan. 21 for this exclusive, once-a-year event being held at the RRAA Art Gallery in Gonzales.

"Because this workshop is interactive and specifically designed to meet the needs of each person attending, seating is limited," states Wanna Self-Publish Author Carol Pierce, workshop presenter. "Those participating will find out the secrets to creating a book readers don't want to put down. They'll also learn cost-effective ways to produce a professional quality book that doesn't look self-published and the right route to take with their own writing."

Pierce brings to the workshop her expertise editing and designing over 20 books for clients, including 15 produced from start to finish using 100 percent Louisiana resources. Having presented publishing workshops on the local, regional and national level, she's also the author of both "Wanna Self-Publish" and "Jump Now" and the co-author of "Exceptional Accomplishment" and "Sisters Together." Pierce will be signing copies of her book immediately following the event.

Registration for this RRAA book publishing workshop is $85 for RRAA members; $90 for non-members. For more details about the workshop and to register, call (225) 474-4923. To learn more about Wanna Self-Publish Author Carol Pierce, visit www.jumpnow.com
