MONETTE, AR (KAIT) – A Monette woman is dead after being hit by a car by her live-in boyfriend.

According to the Craighead County Sheriff's Department, 37-year-old Nancy Davidson died from the injuries she suffered after being hit and pinned against a fence by a car driven by her live-in boyfriend.

Investigators say 42-year-old James D. Sanderson is being charged with manslaughter in connection to her death.

Investigators say Davidson tried to walk away after an argument with Sanderson, who then followed her in his car.

Police say, after a second argument, Sanderson put his car in reverse and ran Davidson over.

Investigators say Sanderson confessed to the crime during an interview.  Police have also arrested 42-year-old Ronald Collier for hindering apprehension.
