Funeral arrangements made for Tracy Franques

Funeral services will be held Aug. 14 at 1 p.m. in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Tracy Franques, 33, who passed away Aug. 11.

Deacon Colby Thomas of Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church will officiate the services. Interment will be in St. Alphonse Cemetery in Maurice. Pallbearers will be Brooks David, Michael Birdwell, Erik Ledoux, Tony Solano, Michael Menard, Paul Sperandeo, Bryan Lapointe and Calvin Francis.

The family requests that visitation be held Friday morning from 9 a.m. until time of services.

Special thanks are given to law enforcement agencies for their overwhelming support in this time of need. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made at any local Chase Bank to the “Franques Family Memorial Fund – #2258.”

Tracy was the founder of Louisiana Law Enforcement Support, a group of law enforcement officers and their spouses committed to the financial and emotional support of the families of those injured or killed in the line of duty.

She devoted countless hours of her time and her resources to this cause, and was instrumental in organizing several fundraisers for the group, the obituary from the funeral home stated. She was employed by Pinnacle Home Health based in Baton Rouge and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Survivors include her husband of seven years Kenneth Franques of Maurice; four children, Katelynn, Haley, Kenny and Aralyn Franques; her mother Charlotte Hodges of Mobile, Alabama; her brother James Hodges and his wife Shannyn of Lafayette; her father-in-law Ken Franques and his fiancee Fe Bordelon of Lafayette; her mother-in-law, Kathie Zimmerman and her husband Joe “Zeke” Zimmerman of Lafayette; and one sister-in-law Brittany Broussard and her husband Jeremy of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her father Raymond “Larry” Hodges and her brother Raymond Hodges, Jr.
