Diagramming the autistic spectrum domain systems

Page history last edited by Liz Thackray 13 years, 4 months ago

As part of my doctoral research, I want to present a set of diagrams which show the infrastructure which has to be understood and navigated by parents, professionals and others involved in working with children and young people with autistic spectrum disorders. Although it is unlikely that the diagrams will resonate with everybody, I do want them to be as close a representation of reality as possible.

I would like you to look at the diagrams and make suggestions as to how they might be improved. This shouldn't take more than about 15 minutes unless you have a lot of suggestions.

  • do they make sense to you?
  • is there anything essential missing?
  • are there things I've got wrong?
  • does any of the wording needs changing?
  • do I need to change the size of any parts of the diagram?
  • are the colours OK?
  • anything else?

Under each diagram, there is a link which will open up an email form and enable you to send any comments on that diagram - it would help me if you sent separate emails for different diagrams, rather than combining comments on a single email. If these do not work for you, you can use the comments box at the bottom of the page instead, but to do this, you will need to register on the wiki and I have to approve your registration - as you'll appreciate, this takes longer, so the email route is better if at all possible.

As I read your comments, I will make changes to the diagrams and including new versions in the wiki or I may ask you for more information about the changes you think should be made or by comparing your suggestions with those of others and then deciding what changes might be appropriate.

There are 5 diagrams. Please click on the link for the first diagram. Links for the other diagrams will be at the bottom of each page and are also in the side bar.
