Men charged in disabled Pontiac man's beating to appear in court

PONTIAC, Mich. – Two Pontiac men are due in court Tuesday for charges connected to the beating of a disabled man which was captured on cellphone video.

Police say Nikey Walker and Shadeed Bey stole a cell phone from the 23-year-old victim’s apartment. He chased them into the stairwell and that’s where they physically attacked him.

Police said Walker and Bey shot the video with the victim's own cellphone and posted it to both his Facebook page as well as their own.

Both men are charged with assault to great bodily harm less than murder. They remain in Oakland County Jail, unable to post $25,000 cash bonds, and are set to appear in court Tuesday for probable cause hearings.
