Sound Side of the World
The wide and wild legacy of modern Hispanic Poetry is explored in
this performance through the specific lens of sound. Three radically
different takes on authors such as César Vallejo, Idea Vilariño, and
García Lorca are presented here along with the performers'original
poems. The underlying conviction that unites this project is that of
language, Spanish in this case, as a space in which communication
occurs in the direct encounter with the poem as a physical and sound
experience.
