"Sarah was more than just a pretty face. She was lovely and talented, yes, and also a very intelligent and vibrant young woman. She was not simply beautiful - there has always been a surplus of generic beauty in Hollywood. Sarah glowed. She was magnetic. What you see on screen is no illusion. She was full of life and energy.
And you shoulda heard her sing. She was very, very good, possessed of a strong, clear, pure soprano voice. She played the lead role of "Sarah Brown" in a community theatre production of "Guys and Dolls" back in '76, when she was only about 17 or 18. She was excellent. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that she blew everyone away. It was something to see, let me tell you. "
