Google+ hits 20 million users in 3 weeks —Study

Three weeks after it was made public, Google's upcoming social network Google+ has hit the 20-million member mark, a tech site reported Friday (Manila time). CNET cited data from research firm ComScore, showing that Google+ has had 20 million unique visitors —including five million from the United States. But CNET added that a Google spokesperson declined to address the report, saying the company does not comment on third-party metrics. "It is definitely the fastest ascent to 20 million visitors that I can think of," CNET quoted ComScore vice president of industry analysis Andrew Lipsman as telling the Los Angeles Times. The CNET report said Google+ may have reached the 20-million mark a week after Google CEO Larry Page reported that Google+ had reached 10 million visitors and had received "a ton of activity" with more than 1 billion items shared and received each day. But CNET also noted that despite its meteoric growth, Google+ membership remains paltry compared to Facebook's 750 million. — TJD, GMA News
