I have checked the many forums on here, but still haven't really found an answer. When I sync my blackberry with DM for Mac my Blackberry ends up with multiple entries that are duplicated. I have even tried clicking the erase the info on blackberry box in DM, and it doesn't do it. It makes triple or quadruple entries then. My iCal is perfect though. It doesn't happen every time I sync my BB, just sometimes. does anyone have a solution?

Go into Options > Advanced Options > Default Services > then set your CICAL to the email address you are using as your default address... then do a Battery Pull: Leave your device on, pull the battery out for 20 seconds, put the battery back in and wait for your device to boot up... then check it again.

If there are still duplicates, then plug it in and open DM > Backup/Restore > Advanced > select the Calendar All database, then push the Clear button... then do a sync again with your iCal to restore your calendar.

I have it fixed now. My main question is why does this happen though?

My guess is the CICAL... every time I upgrade my OS it changes and I have to go in and change it one more time and do a battery pull... luckily I use Google's Calendar to sync all my calendar events and sometimes have to do the same thing.

Is it changing the CICAL setting, or is it just duplicating the events???

By CICAL you mean the default calendar right? If that is what you mean, then no. It leaves it alone. It is only duplicating the items on the BB.

Yes, I meant the default calendar settings. Not sure what the issue is because I don't use DM to sync, but it sounds like something in the sync settings... otherwise, I'd check in the Mac Users Forum to see if they have something about sync'ing iCal to your Blackberry.

The sledge hammer approach is to wipe the device in the event a sync table is messed up.

I've seen similar issues in BES and the answer was to wipe the device, delete the user from BES.

Solved my problem (at least for now). Thanks!

Alright. I went into my Desktop Manager options. I had it forget my device and erase everything. I then re-synced the device fresh and it came up with 3 entries for each calendar appt. I made sure I wasn't merging the data, but replacing the data on the device. HELP!!!

Alright. Just wiped the phone completely with BBSAK, installed a fresh OS. Made sure CICAL was correct. Restored with previous calendar. Sync'd with MAC, double/triple entries.

When I go to calendar Options I have my email address I have associated with my CICAL, "Default", and 2 more email addresses. Is this normal? Is the "Default" Calendar a problem?

I really am lost and need help!!!!

I had a similar problem with the calendar duplicating. This is how I fixed it:

    Options>Advanced Options>Service Book

[email protected] [CICAL] <<<this is the email i used to sync calendar
    [email protected] [CMIME]

    [email protected] [CICAL] <<<delete
    [email protected] [CMIME]

    [email protected] [CICAL] <<<delete
    [email protected] [CMIME]

It's been working perfect since then.

In options, change the color of each calendar to a different color. Are the duplicates all the same color or are they each a different color?

I have done this already. They are different colors also. Not every single entry is doubling. It appears to be only the entries that are repeated yearly, weekly, etc... So Birthdays are tripled, and things like payday, anniversaries, etc...

Each double entry is also different on the first setting where it says , "Send using". On one of the doubles it will be send using default, and on the other it is send using [email protected]. It appears that my default calendar is not set to my Gmail account, but instead set to the "Default" calendar. How can I fix this?

I am also unable to delete the entry that is tied to the Gmail account. I can only delete the calendar entry that is tied to the "default" calendar.
