CHELMSFORD — Chelmsford Police are investigating a teacher’s aide who is alleged to have engaged in inappropriate conduct during an after-school program.

According to Police Chief James Spinney, there is an ongoing investigation into the matter, and the school administration has sent information to parents who have children attending the after-school program.

Spinney declined to provide further information but said details would be forthcoming later on this week.

According to a tip received by The Sun, the aide in question may be a special education teacher’s aide who works primarily at Chelmsford High School but is also employed at the Center Elementary School after-school program, where the inappropriate conduct with a student is alleged to have occurred.

Superintendent of Schools Frank Tiano could not immediately be reached for comment.
