Disabled woman injured in street attack in Edinburgh

A disabled woman has dislocated her shoulder during an attack by a thief who mugged her in an Edinburgh street.
The 52-year-old, who has Huntington's Disease, was walking southwards on West Granton Road between 10:30 and 11:20 on Thursday when she was attacked.
The thief grabbed the woman's handbag strap and pulled it violently, causing her to fall to the ground.
A police spokesman said: "This was a sickening and opportunistic assault and robbery on a clearly vulnerable woman."
The thief made-off with the bag, which contained cash and other personal possessions, towards Pennywell Road.

Two passers-by helped the woman and she was taken to the ERI.
Lothian and Borders Police has appealed for witnesses.
The thief was white, about 5ft tall with a skinny build and was wearing dark trousers and a dark hooded top with the hood up.
The Lothian and Borders Police police spokesman added: "We are carrying out inquiries in the local area to identify the person responsible.
"As the victim did not get a good look at the suspect we are unable to say at this time if they were male or female and would urge anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward and assist with our inquiries.
"We believe a number of cars may have been driving past during the time of the attack and these motorists are asked to contact police immediately."
