Suspects face multiple charges for alleged rape inside jail cell
The Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating a reported rape and beating that occurred on Dec. 12 involving three inmates in the same cell.  According to information from the sheriff's department, the victim was raped, beaten and tortured for almost 16 hours by two men -  Javaughntaiye Willis, 21, of Fayetteville and Jdonta Britt, 19, of Springdale. Willis and Britt forced the victim to drink their urine and threatened to cut off a finger if he did not obey their commands or if he reported the abuse, Detective Scott McAfee stated in his report.The suspects also used a "homemade edged weapon to slash the victim 29 times across his back" and Britt held the victim's hands, beating him and forced him to perform a sex act, according to the probable cause report.Deputies confirmed that detention personnel took swift action to protect the victim as soon as they became aware of the situation.Investigators said they made two arrests based on evidence collected at the scene and eyewitness accounts.Prosecutor's Office  said both suspects have been charged with one count of rape (felony), one count of terroristic threatening, 2nd degree battery and two or more people acting to commit a crime (felony).McAfee said the investigation is ongoing. Willis was the suspect involved in a taxi cab machete robbery in July at Betty Jo Dr. in Fayetteville. He, along with two accomplices, threatened to kill a taxi drive with a machete. Then, they took the man's money and cell phone. Read that story here.
