Leadership Starts With Craziness – A Promising Video !!!

I remember a quote which I read somewhere “First few steps will have potential to kill you. Once crossed, you will live longer”. Every day hundreds of new startups are cropping across the globe. One promises a change of view, another networking and third one some great technology and so on. But have you ever thought to check them back after 1 year or so? How many of them survive and continue to grow further? Believe me, you will be amazed to see that less than 20% really exist in 2 years of lunch.

What makes any venture or initiative a success? Neither its fund nor marketing, not even product or technology, it’s all about first few bizarre steps which one need to take ALONE if he/she wants to have people following him. Believe me it’s not that easy to accomplish. People will laugh, some will criticize and many will have mad ideas about your move but once you have first few similar mindset people with you, same people will come and join you and appreciate your initiate.

Instead keeping its long, I would like to present my words in a firm of video which I saw while surfing on net. In below video, a crazy guy who dances like mad crated a movement in just 3 minutes with hundreds of people following and dancing with him. Leadership is influencing people to get things done, maintaining the standard and quality above their norm.

I heard about Derek Sivers at TED talked about this guy, what can we learn from him in terms of a clear Leadership attitude.

“If you want a movement, a leader needs the guts to stand alone and look ridiculous”. What you really need however is the first few followers; you need to nurture these people as they indicate to the masses that following is ok.

Because they help to establish momentum, we need to love and embrace our followers as equals.
