Kagan Continues Senate Meetings Thursday

Solicitor General Elena Kagan met with the following Senators today on her nomination to the Supreme Court:

  • Barbara Mikulski (D-MD)
  • Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)
  • Byron Dorgan (D-ND)
  • Ron Wyden (D-OR)
  • Jim Webb (D-VA)
  • George LeMieux (R-FL)

    Does this system need to be dragged out so incessantly long? Confirm already! And then, let’s fill all those other positions that are being held up by obstructionist politicking.

    They need to ask her about the paper she wrote for the Harvard Review in 2001 called “Presidential Administration”.

    In it she talks about more Presidential control over government agencies and how IT IS constitutional based on precedent. I believe that is why Obama wants her on the Supreme Court, because if the make-up of Congress changes in November 2010, then he will probably usurp power through those government agencies even worse than President Clinton did.

    If Congress tries to reign him in through the Courts, then he has allies on the bench.

    Oh my the good old days when the economy was flourishing and it was good times for all. Clinton era was an astounding point in the history of our country. He accomplished so much and made us prosper as a country and a society of caring people.
