Thanks, I’v been waiting fot this.
I just installed getdeb to give it a go but after installation I can’t find the app anywhere in the menus, no luck either but going to terminal with:
$ getdeb
How do I launch it or it’s repos gets merged the the regular ubuntu repos???
Go to http://www.getdeb.net and click on apps tab now you need to select which version of ubuntu you are running for each application you should see a button called install now
@admin thank you
When I try to install the key I get this message ??
gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.
i’m having the same problem
Try adding the gpgkeys and gnome-gpg packages in synaptic, then rerun the “wget -q -O- http://archive.getdeb.net/getdeb-archive.key | sudo apt-key add -” command. Don’t use the ” quotes though.
That worked for me to get rid of the no valid OpenPGP data message.
