Slogan Needed -Kill Campaign Finance Reform!!!!
me | 02/15/2002 | self

Posted on 02/15/2002 12:37:26 PM PST by Protect the Bill of Rights

This thread may not be "News" by the official definition, but it is news related and the urgency is Front Page----if anyone does not agree, well, sue me.

I have made my phone calls, written my letters, faxed my faxes, signed my petitions and sent my emails.

Because this bill is a media dream come true, very little opposition will be reported (except of course that of the VRWC).

We need something--along the lines of SoreLoserman to grab attention & to spread.

The message needs to go out that we the sheeple realize Congress is attempting to stiffle our right to free speech, our right to assemble, and to address our grievances in the most crucial period of all--prior to elections. Suggestions anyone?

How about a take-off on the Got Marx take-off ...

A picture of The House (the building), and above it the words ..

"Campaign Finance Reform"

About a third of the way up on the right side, the words,

"Got Screwed?"

and along the bottom the FreeRepublic.com url.

Whatcha' think?

Not a slogan, but a position.

1). Ban all corporate contributions.
2). Ban all contributions from foreigners.
3). Allow donations from individuals in any amount they choose but with full disclosure requirements.

Support Campaign Finance Reform!

Government by the people is just too much work.

Put it over a picture of a person sitting on a couch pointing a remote control directly at the camera. He should have a beer in one hand and a big bowl of potato chips on the couch beside him. Shalom.

Slogans? OK,

McCain's Media Money

Free Airtime... Because candidates need access too!

The First Amendment... It's not just for incumbents.

Free Airtime... Because Congress Needs an Opposition Party!

Let me know if you want more.
