We need a connected bicycle network so no matter your age or ability, you can bike to where you need to go. But there are very few opportunities to build essential direct cross-city routes. A protected, separated bike lane on NE 65th Street is one of those few opportunities for an east-west route, connecting Green Lake to Magnuson Park.

Right now, there's a real risk the NE 65th Street protected bike lane could be removed from Seattle's Bicycle Master Plan. We must make sure Seattle continues to plan on building it.
